We're excited to announce the introduction of WhatsApp as a channel on Webex Interact. This new feature allows your business to connect with your customers directly on WhatsApp, making your interactions more convenient and accessible. With WhatsApp, you can have:
- Rich Media Support: Enhance your customer interactions by sending and receiving images, videos, documents, and other rich media directly through WhatsApp.
- Brand Identity: You can add a layer of trust and authenticity for customers by fully displaying your Brand through WhatsApp profile. Additionally, you can get verified by Meta.
- Secure Messaging: With end-to-end encryption, rest assured that your communications with WhatsApp are secure and private.
- Analytics and Reporting: Track your WhatsApp campaigns with detailed analytics and reporting features, giving you insights into customer engagement.
To facilitate this, we've made new screens for WhatsApp for onboarding, campaign, Inbox and made changes to contact upload flow to allow adding WhatsApp numbers to lists. Start your WhatsApp journey with Webex Interact and send your campaigns seamlessly. Key updates include:

WhatsApp Onboarding
Create and register a WhatsApp profile through our Channel setup menu using WhatsApp embedded signup by Meta. WhatsApp profile is what your customers see when you send messages and will be your brand identity on WhatsApp. Create an interesting profile for your brand with display Image, logo, name, business descriptions and contact numbers/emails and stay connected with your customers.
WhatsApp campaigns
With the new and improved user interface, you can build your WhatsApp campaigns by adding interactive, media-rich content and send to customers. You can choose a pre-approved template, create a personalized message with merge fields and send messages to your contacts linked with WhatsApp.
WhatsApp templates
WhatsApp requires all messages to be approved before you can send campaigns. Create WhatsApp templates for all your use cases under Templates menu and get instant approval from WhatsApp.
Additionally, you can create media rich templates and also interactive templates featuring quick reply buttons to enhance engagement.
WhatsApp reports
We've introduced campaign reports for WhatsApp to help you analyze the performance of your WhatsApp campaigns. These reports include delivery reports for all the messages sent along with detailed statistics on sent messages, button replies, and failed messages.
WhatsApp Inbox
Manage inbound messages effortlessly with our dedicated WhatsApp Inbox. From inquiries to feedback and support requests, stay on top of customer interactions and provide timely responses.
Enhancements
Contacts uploads
We have upgraded our existing contacts flow to allow list creation with SMS (phone number), WhatsApp number or both SMS and WhatsApp numbers. You can also add channel specific opt-outs. To know more, click here.
Pricing Estimator
Pricing estimator now shows WhatsApp pricing estimates, with details such as pricing per template type for each country selected.
