🚀 New Feature: Rules

We're excited to introduce Rules — a powerful upgrade replacing the previous Opt-Ins feature. Rules give you greater flexibility to automate actions when specific keywords are received on your dedicated numbers.

What's new?

Flexible Rule Types: Rules support both opt-in and opt-out use cases, giving you full control over how you respond to inbound messages.


Three Configurable Actions per Rule:

  • Auto-Response — Automatically send a reply when a keyword is matched.
  • Add to List — Optionally add the sender to one or more contact lists.
  • Forward to Email — Receive email notifications when a rule is triggered, with details including who sent the message, the message content, and the actions that were executed. You can add up to 10 email addresses per rule.

Up to 20 rules per asset, each tied to a specific asset-keyword combination.
Status management that automatically reflects the status of the associated asset — so your rules stay in sync with your number portfolio.

⚠️ Important Notice for Existing Opt-In Users

The legacy Opt-Ins feature has now been retired and replaced by Rules. If you previously had an Opt-In rule configured, you will need to create an equivalent Rule as soon as possible to avoid any disruption to your service.

Setting up a new Rule takes just a few moments — simply navigate to the new Rules section, select your asset and keyword, and configure your desired actions.

🛡️ Security Hardening

Enhanced platform security with anti-automation protections across the application.
Resolved a sensitive data exposure issue to strengthen the security of your environment.

🔧 Improvements

Unicode Character Optimisation — The platform now automatically replaces common non-GSM characters (such as curly quotes and em-dashes) with their standard equivalents before sending.

This helps avoid unexpected multi-part message charges caused by special characters.

Underlying infrastructure upgrades to improve performance and reliability across the platform.
