January 2026 Release

What's New?

This release introduces significant enhancements across Webex Interact, bringing new functionalities, improved management tools, and greater control over your messaging and account operations.

Shortlinks API
Programmatically create, query, and delete short links, enabling advanced URL management with tracking, expiration, and metadata options.

Scheduled Message Cancellation API
A new public API allows you to cancel scheduled messages by providing a campaign ID or request ID, recovering any reserved balance.

Opt Out Webhook Event
Receive webhook events when an end user opts out of SMS communications, either at the account level or for a specific purchased inbound product, via a stop keyword or webform submission.

Default Auto-Response Logic
New default auto-response logic ensures a response is sent if no matching opt-in or manage number keywords are found, improving user engagement.

Workspaces Improvements

  • Notifications & Banners for Credit Limits: Receive email notifications and see omnipresent banners when 80% or 100% of your account or workspace credit/usage limit is exhausted, keeping you informed.
  • Workspace switch menu now displays monthly usage instead of "add balance" for postpay accounts.
  • Billing page accurately shows usage limits for accounts and current workspaces, tailored to user roles.
  • Invoices and Transaction History pages now include a workspaces filter for better financial oversight.
  • Mandatory Usage Limits: Workspaces now require a mandatory usage limit, similar to prepay balances, with a new "Configure Usage Limit" step during creation.
  • Fixed UI issues like the "Create Workspaces" modal not closing correctly after exhausting credit limits.
Payment confirmation screen now accurately displays the updated balance after a successful recharge.
  • Prevent the creation of new workspaces when no credit limit is available, guiding users to adjust existing allocations.
  • Various UI improvements including toast notifications for workspace switching, consistent cancel button behavior, and updated help links.
  • More descriptive error messages are now propagated to the UI for invalid usage limit configurations in Postpay Workspaces.

Improvements to Information Display

  • Corrected the display of Available Credit Limit (ACL) values on the UI.
  • Fixed incorrect final price display for numbers when negative discounts were applied.
    Streamlined Asset Management
  • Resolved an issue where the "Number Name" label was incorrectly displayed on the Manage Keywords page, now showing "Keyword Name".
  • Campaign Reporting Improvements
  • Campaign Reports page now correctly filters by teammate and allows selection of a single day in the date picker.
    Clearer Opt-out Information
  • A note about the 15-minute Time-To-Live (TTL) for opt-outs has been added to the opt-outs page and import modal for better clarity.

Bug Fixes

  • Scheduled API Messages: Scheduled API Messages are now correctly shown in the Outbound History.
  • Query Scheduled API: Campaigns no longer appear with an "UNKNOWN" status in the Query Scheduled API response.
  • Opt-out Functionality: Keyword opt-outs on shared numbers and shortcodes now work as expected, and are correctly applied at the account level.
  • Scheduled Outbound API Response: The Scheduled Outbound API response now correctly returns the sender name instead of the sender ID for SMS campaigns.
  • Manual Recharge Idempotency: Resolved issues with manual recharge processing that could cause the UI to hang.
  • Teammate Invite Emails: Teammate invite emails are now being sent out reliably.
  • Access Control: The Postpay Invoices page is now correctly restricted to Owner roles only.
